Job summary

LiquidPiston is seeking a Mechanical Integration Engineer to join the genset application development team. This hands-on role focuses on design, integration, and packaging of innovative rotary-engine based gensets.

You will work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to create compact, manufacturable assemblies. The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years in engine design and simulation, proficient in SolidWorks and ANSYS, and capable of leading subsystem-level

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in engine component/system design and simulation.
• Ability to integrate subsystems into a full package and communicate results.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and develop gensets based on rotary engines.
• Create detailed part and assembly models using SolidWorks and release production drawings.
• Lead early-stage genset architecture and layout processes with cross-functional teams.
• Perform hand calculations and simulations to validate designs and iterate quickly.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering to package electrical systems into modules.
