Job description

Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for a Genomics Laboratory Technician - Functional Capabilities to support the members at Ft. Detrick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $75,000-$84,000.

The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Responsibilities:

• Provide laboratory support including nucleic acid extraction, sequencing library preparation, quality assessment testing, and work on Illumina, Oxford Nanopore, and PacBio sequencing platforms.
• Perform laboratory experiments and protocols under the guidance of CGS Supervisors.
• Engage in high-throughput sequencing library preparation, PCR amplification, and sample processing.
• Sequence viral, bacterial, and eukaryotic genomes and manage BSL-2 laboratory workspace, including assay development and sample processing for high-throughput sequencing.
• Manage chemical reagent inventory, safety training records, and ensure compliance with USAMRIID safety requirements.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, SOPs, and present technical expertise to laboratory members annually.
• Communicate experimental data and issues with the PI or TPOC, and coordinate with vendors for support.
• Maintain laboratory records, manage sample processing workflows, and ensure documentation meets institutional requirements.
• Perform sample processing and library preparation for various sequencing platforms supporting multiple projects, with potential cross-training on additional assays.
• Participate in meetings, training, and collaborate on biosurveillance and training missions, which may involve travel.
