Job summary

CooperSurgical's Livingston, NJ site is seeking a Director of Laboratory Services to lead the NJ Genomics Laboratory and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. You will oversee personnel, workflows, quality systems, and regulatory adherence while driving accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in clinical laboratory operations.
• 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience.
• Experience in genomics, molecular diagnostics or next-generation sequencing laboratories preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and oversight of daily laboratory operations.
• Ensure testing activities are performed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor and manage laboratory performance metrics, including turnaround time, throughput, productivity, staffing utilization and quality indicators
• Drive achievement of operational goals and service level commitments.
• Lead daily operational reviews and prioritize resources to meet business demands.
