Job summary

CooperSurgical is seeking a Laboratory Technician II to support reagent manufacturing, validation, and transfer activities at the Livingston, NJ laboratory. You will perform routine lab and manufacturing tasks, follow established procedures, and maintain accurate documentation in a cross-functional team environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and other teams, with emphasis on GDP and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Understanding of biochemical and molecular biology concepts.
• Ability to follow procedures with high consistency and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a contamination-controlled environment.
• Ability to interpret procedures and propose improvements.
• Knowledge of good documentation practices and laboratory safety.
• Ability to communicate across cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to perform repetitive pipetting and lab tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Execute SOPs and perform manufacturing tasks independently and on time.
• Formulate, fill, label, package, and perform related manufacturing activities.
• Conduct routine quality control inspections according to procedures.
• Perform molecular biology procedures with accuracy.
• Maintain proficiency in procedures and contamination-controlled processing techniques.
• Complete production and test records per GDP.
• Report deviations, nonconformances, and issues promptly.
• Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Support equipment qualification, validation, and transfer activities.
• Receive, inspect, stock, and organize materials and lab supplies.
• Perform routine lab cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Review and update SOPs, forms, and work instructions.
• Support manufacturing documentation and technical records.
• Collaborate with QA, R&D, Engineering, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Follow SOPs, quality, safety, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
