Job summary

Vylor Inc. is seeking a Genomics Data Analyst to evaluate next‑generation sequencing data, verify DNA constructs, and characterize gene edits to advance trait development in crops.

You will collaborate with molecular biology, bioinformatics, and regulatory teams to ensure high-quality genomic data is delivered on schedule. The role emphasizes accurate data interpretation, clear communication of results to global colleagues, and contributing to new tool development to improve data analysis

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in bioinformatics, genetics, molecular biology, plant science, biotechnology, or a related field; or a Bachelor’s degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with DNA sequencing technologies, molecular biology fundamentals (PCR, plasmid/vector design), and plant transformation and gene editing (CRISPR-Cas).
• Hands-on experience analyzing sequence data, including read alignment, variant calling, and interpretation.
• Experience with high-throughput genotyping or sequencing environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze next‑generation sequencing data to deliver accurate data products for gene editing and transgenic trait projects.
• Perform sequence verification of DNA constructs prior to plant transformation.
• Characterize gene edits and determine allele composition and zygosity.
• Characterize transgene insertions using sequencing-based methods and assess insert integrity.
• Apply quality control criteria to assess data quality and flag anomalies.
