The New York Genome Center (NYGC) invites exceptional early-career scientists to join the Genomic AI Fellowship, a one-year renewable program aimed at building next-generation Foundation Models for the human genome. You will work at the intersection of machine learning and biology with access to large-scale genomic datasets.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in a quantitative field and have deep expertise in deep learning and multiomics.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related field.
• Deep expertise in modern deep learning, foundation models, and large-scale model training.
• Strong interest/experience in gene regulation, epigenomics, or the genetic basis of complex disease.
• Proven ability to lead original research with multi-modal datasets.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data generators, computational experts, and geneticists.
• Develop genomic foundation models using NYGC datasets.
• Advance models predicting cellular behavior and disease risk.
• Publish findings and contribute to project milestones.
