Job summary

New York Genome Center seeks a Genomics AI Program Manager to coordinate the Genomics AI Initiative, linking genomics, data science, and program operations. You will lead multi-investigator projects, organize working groups and symposia, track milestones, and support grant proposals, data access, and computational infrastructure planning.

This onsite role requires advanced degrees, strong communication, and the ability to work across labs, administrators, and external partners to advance

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in genomics, computational biology, data science, bioinformatics, or closely related field.
• 2+ years of project or program management experience in a scientific or research environment.
• Ability to understand and communicate complex scientific concepts across disciplines.
• Experience with large datasets, computational workflows, or data-intensive research programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the Genomics AI Initiative projects across multiple labs and collaborators.
• Organize and run working groups, journal clubs, workshops, and symposia; prepare agendas and briefing materials.
• Track milestones, action items, dependencies, and communicate progress to leadership.
• Support grant applications, philanthropic proposals, and progress reports with faculty and administration.
• Facilitate data access/sharing and ensure alignment across teams; coordinate with IT, Informatics, and Data Eng.
• Develop inter-institutional workflows and agreements related to data access and use.
