Job summary

The alleninstitute is seeking a Research Associate I for the Proteomics team in Seattle to contribute to genome engineering efforts in the mouse brain. The role involves molecular biology techniques such as cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 engineering, and next-generation sequencing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with laboratory reagents and buffers is preferred.
• Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 genome engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mammalian cell culture including viral packaging.
• Extract nucleic acids from cultured cells and brain tissue.
• Prepare next-generation sequencing libraries.
• Apply advanced molecular cloning techniques.
• Maintain clear and accurate communication within teams.
• Adhere to standardized operating procedures.
