Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Gene Editing Core seeks a Research Technician II to support CRISPR‑based genome editing, iPSC reprogramming, and related molecular workflows in a fast-paced core facility at 65 Landsdowne Street, Cambridge. The role focuses on mammalian cell culture, genome editing, and quality control across projects.

You will gain hands-on exposure to CRISPR tools, NGS workflows, and data analysis while documenting experiments and maintaining meticulous records in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–2 years hands‑on research laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture/molecular biology.
• Experience with DNA/RNA isolation, PCR/qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and plasmid preparation.

Responsibilities

• Support genome editing, CRISPR perturbation screening, iPSC reprogramming, and lentiviral vector production workflows.
• Maintain and culture mammalian cell lines including human iPSCs and primary cells.
• Perform routine molecular biology: DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, plasmid prep.
• Support CRISPR genome editing workflows: transfection, clone isolation, genotyping.
