Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a Genetic Counselor I to support clinical operations by facilitating communication with professional clients and by performing critical review of laboratory test orders and reports.

You will manage complex cases, provide expert guidance in genetic testing strategies, educate trainees including genetic counseling students, and collaborate with laboratory teams to ensure accurate reporting and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in clinical or laboratory genetics.
• Board certification or eligibility in Genetic Counseling by ABMG or ABGC.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with professional clients, coordinate complex cases and relay results.
• Facilitate management of complex cases between internal teams and external clients.
• Act as liaison between professional clients and laboratory teams.
• Educate and support genetic counseling students.
• Contribute to new test development, policies, and procedures; collaborate on manuscripts and presentations.
