Endeavor Health is seeking a Genetics Counselor Assistant for Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This full-time role supports genetic testing discussions, patient scheduling, and coordination of care within the Department of Medical Genetics.

You will document family history, assist decisions about testing, and help manage visits and communications, with the team offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum one year of work experience in genetic counseling setting preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and problem solve.

Responsabilités

• Provide brief conversation about the benefits and utility of genetic testing.
• Assist patients in scheduling appointments or obtaining testing.
• Document family history and gather information for visit reasons.
• Support informed decision making regarding genetic testing and health management.
• Schedule new and established patient visits per physician availability.
• Coordinate patient care daily via check-in, orders, and follow-up of no-shows/cancellations.
• Perform administrative duties related to patient care.
