Job summary

The New York City Department of Correction seeks an IT Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and enhance Genetec Video Management System and related security infrastructure across its facilities in New York City.

Ideal candidates will have Genetec certifications, strong Windows Server and VMware experience, and the ability to work 24x7 on-call shifts to ensure continuous system availability for high-security operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field plus four years of full-time experience in datacenter/IT infra.
• Experience with Genetec VMS and security infrastructure preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and VMware environments required.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration, monitoring, and support for Genetec Video Management System across DOC facilities.
• Maintain Windows Server/VMware infrastructure supporting Genetec and security systems.
• Manage EMC SAN storage and related security platforms.
• Troubleshoot Genetec Access Control/Door Control, LPR, and Body-Worn Camera environments.
• Participate in 24x7 coverage, on-call rotations, and incident response.
