Job summary

PowerChampions in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Generator Technician Level II to join our service team. You’ll perform planned maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel and gas engine-driven standby power systems, and support commissioning and ATS testing.

The role requires a Georgia Class II Electrical Contractor License, 3+ years field service experience, strong wiring and schematics knowledge, and the ability to mentor Level I techs while upholding OSHA and NFPA safety

Qualifications

• 3+ years of generator or mechanical/electrical field service experience.
• Georgia Class II (Unrestricted) Electrical Contractor License is required.
• Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engine-driven generators, ATS, and switchgear.
• Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Capable of independent troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet DOT requirements.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on generator systems.
• Lead field service assignments and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose and repair engine, ATS, and switchgear issues.
• Replace electrical and mechanical components and perform tests.
• Assist with commissioning, startup, and customer demonstrations.
• Document service reports, work orders, and logs.
• Uphold OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards.
