Job summary

Keefe's A/C, Heating, and Electrical in Harvey, LA, is seeking a Generator Service Technician to provide expert installation, maintenance, diagnostic, and repair services for residential standby generators.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, troubleshooting, or installing residential generators.
• Minimum 2 years of generator, electrical, HVAC, or related field service experience preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Journeyman Electrician License preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow through continued training.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on residential standby generators.
• Assist with generator installations, startups, and system testing.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose electrical, fuel, and mechanical issues on generator systems.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, management, and support teams.
• Keep company vehicle clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Complete service tickets, paperwork, and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a professional appearance and deliver excellent customer service.
• Participate in ongoing technical and safety training.
• Obtain and maintain certifications for Generac, Briggs & Stratton, and other generator manufacturers (company assistance provided).
