Job summary

Mesa Power Solutions in Carlsbad, NM is seeking a Field Generator Technician to repair and maintain natural gas-powered generators and related equipment. The role focuses on developing preventive maintenance programs to reduce fleet costs and maximize reliability, while documenting procedures for uniform field service.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on improvements, support field offices, and uphold Mesa’s safety and service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED required; vocational/technical degree preferred.
  • 4-year degree in a related field is a plus.
  • 1 year of experience with 3/4–1-ton service trucks and trailer pulling preferred.
  • Must obtain valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
  • Must complete Mesa Generator Technician course within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance on Mesa units following company standards.
  • Troubleshoot problems and document service tasks and parts used.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure unit readiness.
  • Provide professional customer service and team collaboration.

The Generator Technician develops, refines, and optimizes maintenance programs to reduce generator fleet costs and maximize its reliability. Our Field Generator Technicians develop and document maintenance procedures to maintain the Mesa standard across field offices. This allows Mesa to provide a uniform and superior customer service experience.
