Aggreko plc is seeking a Technician 1 Power Rotation based in Odessa, TX. The role involves maintaining and repairing diesel power generators and electrical distribution equipment, with frequent field work and local travel in a company vehicle.

You will work at Midland, TX/Carlsbad, NM service centers, with opportunities for overtime, weekends, and travel. The position includes a rotation schedule, a performance bonus program, and a focus on safety and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience working on Cummins diesel power generations, mechanics, or electricians
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and reading schematics
• May be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 60–80 lbs and pass physical assessments
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Based at Midland, TX/Carlsbad, NM service centers and travel daily in company vehicle
• Work overtime and weekends with potential travel
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment
• Commissioning of canopy generators and containerized generators
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and customer locations
• Operate equipment at shop or on customer sites, solo or in teams

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 1 Power Rotation based in Odessa, TX.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Midland, TX/Carlsband, NM service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle
• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment
• Commissioning of multiple canopy generators, single containerized generator
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

You are:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of experience working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators, mechanics or electricians and/or commercial, performing inspections, maintenance, and repair
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
