Job summary

Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electrical seeks a Generator Service Technician to join our Houston team. You will perform service on whole-home generators, including maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, completing repairs, and coordinating with dispatch and clients. Requires Generac certifications and ability to lift 75+ lbs in summer heat; driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Generac air-cooled certification is required; liquid-cooled preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform service on whole-home, standby generator equipment (residential).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions; perform repairs or component replacements.
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime for clients.
• Collaborate with clients, dispatch, managers, and team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in generator maintenance and repair.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
