TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Generator Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain standby power systems for critical facilities in various customer environments. The role involves field work, troubleshooting, and providing clear maintenance documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years’ experience on 8.5kW–3500kW generators, diesel knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. EGSA certification is a plus and safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Minimum 3 years of experience servicing generators from 8.5kW to 3500kW.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and power generation equipment.
• Experience with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to lift equipment and work in field environments.
• Valid driver’s license and safe field service practices.
• EGSA certification and experience with critical facilities are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain standby generators and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, load testing, and emergency service repairs.
• Interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Document results and recommendations in service reports.
• Support generator rebuilds and component replacements.
• Provide high-quality customer service in field settings.
• Maintain safety compliance and stay current on procedures.
• Manage service vehicles, tools, and parts inventory.
