Job summary

Fidelity Power Systems is seeking a seasoned Rental Equipment Technician to join our Sparks, MD office. You will perform hands-on service, maintenance, and troubleshooting on rental generators and related equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation and customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate with customers on-site for setup, startup, testing, and training, while managing equipment readiness, inspections, and documentation. A strong background in rentals and logistics is essential.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in rental maintenance, preferably with generators or heavy equipment.
Strong knowledge of generator sizing and load requirements.
Experience coordinating equipment logistics and dispatch.
Proficiency with rental management software and MS Office.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on service, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on rental generators and related systems.
Transport and position rental equipment to and from job sites with company vehicles.
Coordinate setup, startup, testing, and operator training on site.
Inspect units before/after rentals and document conditions.
Prepare rentals and documentation, and maintain service records.
Respond to service calls and field issues promptly.
Build strong relationships through dependable service and communication.
