Generator Supercenter of the Hudson Valley is hiring a Generator Mechanic / Service Technician (Full-Time, Monday–Friday) to service residential standby generators in Pawling, NY. You will travel in a company vehicle to job sites and perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.

Read wiring diagrams, manuals, and schematics; document work in our service management software; and assist with emergencies as needed. Safety is priority and opportunity for growth is available.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of generator service, small engine repair, or related mechanical/electrical work.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential job sites using a company‑provided service vehicle.
• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on whole‑home standby generators.
• Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systems.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Clearly communicate with customers regarding services performed and any recommendations.
• Accurately document all work in our service management software.
• Follow safety protocols and industry best practices when working around electricity.
• Support emergency service calls during weather‑related outages or storms, as needed.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physically able to perform job duties, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in outdoor environments.
• Familiarity with residential generator systems and ATS technology is a plus.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional flexibility for emergencies).
