Description

The Generator/industrial Engine Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on power generation equipment in a controlled shop environment. This includes interpreting OEM service manuals, electrical schematics, and company procedures. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, familiarity with AC/DC circuits, and proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and torque wrenches. Work focuses on accuracy, safety, and efficiency to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on generators, ATS, and related components
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Adhere to all safety standards and company policies
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must own basic industrial tools (hand tools, torque wrenches, multimeters)
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Professionalism and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

Primarily shop-based work with occasional field support. Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment. PPE required at all times. Occasional overtime may be necessary.
