Job summary
General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Generator (3 - 150KW) and HVAC Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on generators and HVAC units for military and commercial use. The role requires ability to travel and work in both shop and field environments to support the U.S.
Army mission. You will diagnose complex problems, repair electrical and control systems, fabricate wire harnesses, and train site personnel.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma; BA/BS or AA/AS with years of experience may substitute.
- Experience: Military and commercial generator/HVAC maintenance preferred.
- Security: Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and sustainment on 3kW to 150kW generators and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC systems, electronic controls, and wiring.
- Operate a Load bank during testing and fabricate wire harnesses.
- Work in generator shop and field environments as required.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to site personnel.
