Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology in Bahrain is seeking a Generator and HVAC Mechanic to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and servicing on 3kW to 150kW generators and HVAC systems used by the U.S. Army.

You will troubleshoot electrical and control systems and ensure equipment readiness for mission-critical operations. You will analyze complex problems, provide on-site technical support, and train site operations personnel across field and shop environments.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma required.
• BA/BS plus 2 years’ experience, AA/AS plus 4 years, or a High School diploma with 7 years’ experience.
• Secret security clearance required.
• Travel to Bahrain, UAE, Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq.
• US passport must not expire for at least 2 years, valid US driver’s license, international driver’s permit.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and sustainment on 3kW to 150kW generators involving installation/removal in fixed and mobile locations.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, Chillers, and Environmental Control Units.
• Maintain commercial power generation equipment, including UPS.
• Operate a Load bank during testing.
• Fabricate wire harnesses and solder terminals.
• Some work in generator shop, some in field environments; other duties as assigned.
