Job summary

Prime Power Services, Inc. seeks a Generator Field Service Technician in Raleigh to service diesel and natural gas generators, diagnose ATS and controls, and perform preventive maintenance. You will follow safety procedures, read schematics, document work thoroughly, and communicate clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2years of power generation experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Comfort working from technical documentation and established procedures.
• A careful, detail-oriented approach to diagnostics and recordkeeping.
• Professional, straightforward communication style.
• Valid driving record with fewer than three moving violations and no felony convictions.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel and natural gas generators.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot ATS, generator controls, excitation systems, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals with care and accuracy.
• Complete service documentation thoroughly and on time.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding equipment status and service findings.
• Follow established safety procedures, company policies, and industry best practices consistently.
