Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking an AI Prompt Engineer to join a team delivering generative AI solutions in support of U.S. CBP.

You will design, test, and refine prompts for LLMs, aiming to improve accuracy and operational usefulness for frontline personnel. The role requires hands-on experience with Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, familiarity with prompts techniques such as few-shot and chain-of-thought, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced government mission context.

Qualifications

• US citizen with ability to pass CBP background investigation
• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or other generative AI models

Responsibilities

• Design, refine, and iterate prompts for generative AI models to elicit desired behaviors and outputs
• Conduct testing to compare prompt variations and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate prompts into workflows
• Stay current with LLM advancements and prompt engineering techniques; support RAG strategies
