You will design, test, and refine prompts for generative AI models, collaborating across groups to streamline processes and improve decision support for frontline personnel. The role requires on-site work in Ashburn, VA and/or Washington, D.C., a degree in computer science or related fields, and hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass CBP background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Prompt design, optimization for various generative AI models to elicit desired behaviors.
• Iterative testing and analysis to compare prompts and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with groups to integrate prompts and streamline processes.
• Research and development on LLMs, generative AI, and prompt engineering techniques.
• Fine-tuning and RAG support to improve accuracy.
• Debug model behaviors by locating root causes in prompts, model limits, or data context.
