Job summary

Pearson seeks an AI leader to design and deliver production AI capabilities across learner intelligence, personalization, and knowledge graphs. You will drive generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic solutions with measurable business impact.

You will build scalable AI platforms, partner with product and data teams, and establish robust MLOps/AIOps practices to ensure reliable, cost-effective production systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and deploying production AI/ML systems.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, or agentic AI.
• Hands-on with foundation models and modern AI frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and APIs, testing, CI/CD, and production ops.
• Experience designing scalable AI platforms on AWS or similar.
• Strong collaboration with product, engineering, and data teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment, and operation of production AI capabilities.
• Deliver Generative AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic AI solutions with measurable impact.
• Build reusable AI platform components, services, APIs, and workflows.
• Own end-to-end AI delivery lifecycle from experimentation to production and improvement.
• Establish scalable MLOps and AIOps for training, deployment, observability, governance, and reliability.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Learning Science, and Data Science teams.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies while balancing quality, safety, latency, and cost.
• Establish best practices for responsible AI and governance.
• Mentor engineers and data scientists to elevate AI capabilities.
• Communicate strategy, architecture decisions, and risks to stakeholders.
