Job summary

Referment, a global investment firm's tech arm, is hiring a full-stack engineer to build generative AI services. You will design web interfaces and APIs that expose AI capabilities to users across the firm, working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers.

You’ll participate in the full software lifecycle from concept to deployment, advocating robust engineering practices and deliverables that scale with user adoption and business needs.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency building web applications, including experience with modern UI frameworks and front-end technologies.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and backend services in a production environment.
• Interest in generative AI technologies and a collaborative, pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication, self-management, and organizational skills, with a client-service mindset toward colleagues across the firm.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement web applications and interfaces that make generative AI tools accessible and effective for users across the firm.
• Develop and maintain the APIs and backend services that power generative AI applications and integrate with internal systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into high-quality, user-centric solutions.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, from concept and architecture through deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and team initiatives that strengthen engineering practices and product quality.
