Job summary

Humana in Dallas, TX is seeking a Data Scientist 2 to advance Generative AI initiatives for healthcare. This hybrid role builds AI applications powered by modern LLMs, while helping deliver safe, responsible generative AI and production-ready solutions.

You will work across teams to integrate AI into enterprise workflows with MLOps practices, focusing on scalability, reliability, and compliance. Work model: 3 days in-office and 2 days remote; schedule is 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of applicable experience or Master's with 1+ year.
• Experience with agentic AI system design.
• Experience with MLOps and DevOps collaboration.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI solutions using Python, ML, and generative models incl. LLMs.
• Apply responsible AI practices emphasizing safety, transparency, and real-world impact.
• Build autonomous AI agents using LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, and CrewAI.
• Embed AI into Humana's systems and workflows.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand challenges and communicate AI capabilities.
• Design for scalability, reliability, and compliance.
• Deploy and monitor models in production with MLOps practices.
• Create reports, projections, models for stakeholders.
