Job summary

Humana seeks a Data Scientist 2 to contribute to Generative AI initiatives, building safe AI solutions that improve healthcare experiences and outcomes. You will join a team of data scientists, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders collaborating to deploy impactful AI systems.

The role involves designing autonomous AI agents, integrating AI into Humana processes, and ensuring responsible development with strong emphasis on transparency and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 1+ year (Master) / 2+ years (Bachelor) in AI/ML production solutions
• Experience with Agentic AI System Design
• Experience with MLOps and DevOps collaboration
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark and data analysis tools
• Experience with Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Experience with large-scale ML systems and language modeling with transformers
• Experience with large-scale ETL processes

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI solutions using Python, ML, and generative models
• Build autonomous AI agents using frameworks to support reasoning and decision-making in healthcare
• Integrate AI into Humana's systems and collaborate with business teams
• Work with engineering and product teams on deploying AI models in production
• Execute data science initiatives from design to implementation
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver AI solutions
• Develop and maintain advanced AI/ML models and algorithms
• Design monitoring to ensure performance and reliability
• Create reports and presentations for business stakeholders
