Job summary

TPC Sugarloaf, a premier private club in Duluth, Georgia, seeks a diligent kitchen/housekeeping teammate to support Food & Beverage operations. You will maintain clean, sanitary areas, assist in dishwashing, and ensure supplies are ready for service.

This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a hospitality setting. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; prior food service or sanitation experience is helpful but not required, as on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in employee changing room/restrooms, back-of-house areas, elevator, dumpster and receiving area.
• Empty trash cans from dish room, kitchen and storeroom into refuge receptacles, ensure correct handling of recyclables.
• Remove empty boxes from kitchen and storage areas to dumpster area.
• Keep equipment, floors and work areas clean and free of slip hazards; maintain good working order.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans and utensils to supply levels for the F&B department.
• Assist in storing groceries and supplies.
• Set up and operate dish machine, three-compartment sink, garbage disposer and chemical dispensing systems; notify supervisor of malfunctions.
• Assist cooks and Executive Chef in food preparation as needed.
• Set up and break down buffet tables and decorations; support special projects.
• Travel is not expected; schedule varies with business levels.

QUALIFICATIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in employee changing room/restrooms, and back-of-the-house employee areas, as well as the elevator, dumpster and receiving area
• Empty trash cans from dish room, kitchen and storeroom into appropriate refuge receptacles on a regular basis, ensuring correct supervision for recyclable items
• Remove empty boxes from kitchen and storage areas on a regular basis to dumpster area
• Keep equipment, floor, and work areas clean, free of slip, trip and fall hazards and in good working order at all times
• Clean and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans and utensils in accordance to local guidelines, to ensure proper supply levels to operate Food & Beverage Department efficiently
• Assist in the storing of grocery and supply items
• Assume responsibility for proper set up and operation of the dish machine, three compartment sink, garbage disposer and chemical dispensing systems. Notify supervisor of any malfunctions
• Assume responsibility for supplies for the dish machine and notify supervisor of any instances where there would no product on hand
• Assist cooks and the Executive Chef in the preparation of food as needed
• Set-up and break-down buffet tables and theme decorations which may include ice displays
• Special projects or other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; kneel; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
