Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian / Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Technologist for general ultrasound services. The role involves greeting patients, performing ultrasound exams, and ensuring safe, accurate testing with proper equipment adjustments.

Qualifications include ARDMS registration, BCLS, and a graduate from an accredited ultrasound program; HS diploma required with 3+ years post-training experience preferred for DI Center locations. Weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) required.
• BCLS from AHA required.
• 3+ years of direct ultrasound experience post-training in General Sonography and Doppler recommended if in Diagnostic Imaging Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations in general ultrasound services.
• Greet and welcome patients, visitors and staff.
• Assess patient condition and select appropriate transducer; adjust equipment for diagnostic testing.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain equipment for patient care services.
