Cobb and Douglas Public Health is seeking a General Trades Tech 2 to perform light repairs, painting, and general upkeep of Cobb and Douglas County facilities in Marietta, GA. The role supports health-related supply deliveries and coordinates facility system repairs with Property Maintenance.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with maintenance experience, or one year at General Trades Tech 1, with possible area certifications. Hybrid telework options available.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of general maintenance tasks such as light repairs, painting, and general upkeep of buildings and facilities. Assist with delivery of health-related supplies and packages in support of the health and safety of Cobb and Douglas Counties. Coordinate with County Property Maintenance for repairs of facilities systems. Duties may require independent judgment and initiative. May involve access to confidential information. Provide assistance to internal and external customers as needed. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
High school diploma or GED AND Two years of experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment OR One year of experience at the lower-level General Trades Tech 1 (FET030) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require area specific certifications/licenses. Any combination of education, training, or experience may be considered to meet the requirements.
Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasional work on ladders.
$36,174.73 Annually | Pay grade F *** Current state employees’ salary will be subject to State Personnel Board rule provisions.
