Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking an RN for General Surgery 3W. The role uses the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinates care with other departments, and ensures patient rights and confidentiality. Night shift is 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, full-time (36 hours/week).

New graduates and experienced nurses are encouraged to apply. Sign-on bonuses available: up to $10,000 for experienced nurses and up to $5,000 for new grads. Missouri license or compact licensure required.

Qualifications

• Education: RN training from an accredited program (ADN, diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Current MO RN license or compact licensure.
• Experience: Hospital experience preferred depending on unit.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers.
