Job summary

Scotland Surgical & GI in Laurinburg, NC seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time, hybrid surgical role. You’ll perform outpatient clinic duties and inpatient rounding with surgeons and other APPs, focusing on high-quality patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of APP experience, NC licensure, and DEA eligibility. GI experience is a plus. No call, no night shifts, strong teamwork, and ongoing mentorship are offered.

Qualifications

• DEA license or eligibility required.
• Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program.
• 5 years experience in the specified specialty preferred.
• Prescriptive authority eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Provide inpatient rounding support for surgical patients.
• Conduct follow-up and postoperative visits and educate patients and families.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Coordinate with nursing and ancillary staff for coordinated care.
