Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL seeks a General Surgeon to join a high-volume hospital-based practice focused on minimally invasive and robotic techniques. You will participate in elective and emergency cases, collaborating with oncology, gastroenterology, and critical care teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school and completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery.
• Fellowship training in MIS, Advanced GI, or comparable training is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in laparoscopic and/or robotic techniques in general surgery.
• At least 5 years post-training experience.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Florida.
• Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and commitment to high-quality surgical care.
• Interest in academic surgery, teaching, and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Join a high-volume hospital-based general surgery practice handling elective and emergency cases.
• Emphasize minimally invasive approaches to abdominal, hernia, biliary, GI, and acute care surgery.
• Participate in an emergency general surgery service with shared call coverage and access to subspecialty support.
• Maintain an active elective surgical practice aligned with clinical interests and expertise.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Contribute to medical education of students and residents in OR, clinic, and didactic settings.
• Engage in institutional quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
