Job summary

Aiken Physicians Alliance, affiliated with Aiken Regional Medical Centers, seeks a physician to provide professional medical care to patients in accordance with the standards of care and applicable laws. The physician will participate in call coverage for the Office(s) and hospital, and deliver outpatient and inpatient care while maintaining accurate records in line with Group policies.

The role requires graduation from an accredited medical school and medical licensure in South Carolina.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of South Carolina.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical care to patients in accordance with the professional standards of care, quality and practice controls and poliicies as adopted from time to time by Group and as required by law.
• Provide call coverage for the Office(s) as scheduled by Group
• Provide uncompensated days of emergency department call coverage for the Hospital(s) per month, consistent with the Medical Staff Bylaws and by speciality.
• Provide outpatient care in the Offices and inpatient care at the Hospital to patients.
• Perform the particular duties assigned by Group from time to time.
• Keep and maintain appropriate records, reports, claims and correspondence necessary and appropriate in connection with all professional services Physician renders under employment and as required by Group policies and prodecures in effect from tiem tto time. This includes, but is not limited to, the policy on documentation and timely completion of practice based medical records that is in effect from time to time. All such recrods, reports, claims and correspondence belong to Group.
• Promote Group's professional practice to the extent permitted by law and the applicable canons of professional ethics.
• Attend to the administrative duties of the Group's professional pratctice to the extend required by Group's policies.
• Perform all acts reasonably necessary to maintain and improve Physician's professional skills.
• Participate in marketing/public relations of his/her duties such as speaking engagemetns, newspaper interviews, etc. as required by GRoup from time to time.
