Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Santa Rosa, CA seeks a General Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This full-/part-time role offers a no-call, Monday–Friday schedule with autonomy to manage wound care directly.

You will perform bedside procedures, manage debridement, and work with post-acute teams to optimize patient outcomes. MD/DO with CA license required and wound care training provided.

General Surgeon Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds

General Surgeon Salary & Compensation

• Full-Time Average Annual Earnings: $250,000–$500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
• High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses
• Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

General Surgeon Schedule

• Part-Time: 2–3 days per week
• Full-Time: 4–5 days per week

General Surgeon Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome General Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians. No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
