Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a General Surgeon to join our no-call, Monday–Friday surgical team. You will lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities and enjoy clinical autonomy outside the traditional hospital setting.

The role emphasizes maintaining surgical skills, performing bedside procedures and debridement, with a compensation package that includes base salary in the $200k–$300k range and potential bonuses. MD/DO required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school (state license required)
• Medical License: Unrestricted license in the state of practice (or eligibility)
• DEA License: Eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: Welcomes surgeons from all backgrounds; no prior wound care experience required; training provided

General Surgeon Salary & Compensation

• Average Annual Earnings: $200,000–$250,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
• High Achievers: Top performers earn $300,000+ through performance bonuses
• Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

General Surgeon Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome General Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians. No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
