Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Southwest Kansas seeks a physician to deliver high-quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team.

You will evaluate and manage patients, maintain precise medical records, and fulfill administrative duties while supporting quality improvement and hospital goals.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • Current and unrestricted Physician License to practice in applicable state.
  • Residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty.
  • Unrestricted DEA registration.
  • Board certification or eligibility in appropriate specialty.
  • Ability to obtain medical staff privileges within the health system.

Responsibilities

  • Provides highest quality patient care.
  • Provides ambulatory care in the Clinic as designated.
  • See patients, prepare medical records, perform professional and administrative duties.
  • Maintain and update medical records per policy.
  • Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and committee work.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Physician, you will deliver the highest quality patient care within a high-functioning interdisciplinary team, adhering to ethical and professional standards.

Every day, you will evaluate and manage patients, maintain precise medical records, and fulfill administrative duties. You'll comply with all relevant healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare, managed care), ethical directives, and hospital policies, actively participating in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and relevant committees. You'll contribute to operational matters, provide on-call coverage, and pursue continuous medical education to maintain expertise.

To be successful in this role, you must commit to quality care, compliance, continuous learning, and active participation in hospital goals, including community benefit services and maintaining compensation model targets.

  • Provides highest quality patient care.
  • Provides ambulatory care in the Clinic as designated.
  • Services provided by the physician include seeing patients, preparing medical records, professional and administrative duties.
  • Updates and maintains medical records for all examinations, services, and other services in accordance with policy.
  • Physician participates and complies with the requirements of sponsoring entities ethical and religious directives (ERD), Medicare,
  • Medicaid, or other federal and state reimbursement plans.
  • Physician will participate and lead in various activities and initiatives that will promote clinical and quality improvement for services provided.
  • Complies at all times with Hospital's policies and procedures; financial reviews, utilization review/quality management, compliance and integrity program; compliance and citizenship policies and the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest developments in field, both academically and through applied skill.
  • Development of personal and professional knowledge and competence through continuing medical education including maintaining applicable board certification.

We believe in compensating our talent exceptionally well. For this critical role, we're offering a premium compensation package totaling $525,162 annually. Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO)
  • Current and unrestricted Physician License to practice in applicable state
  • Must have successfully completed a residency and / or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty
  • Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (''DEA'') registration
  • Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to hospital
  • Obtain medical staff privileges within the health system, at sponsoring institution
  • Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
