Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent for our Water and Wastewater unit to lead field operations across projects and guide safety, quality, scheduling, and cost performance.

The role requires strong leadership across field teams, collaboration with Project Directors and Managers, and a willingness to travel or relocate as needed to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

General Superintendents have the skills and expertise needed to lead field operations on individual projects of $100M or greater or multiple projects.
Should be open to travel and/or relocation
Minimum 10 years' Water/Wastewater experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Be a great partner with the project staff and lead the “One Team” culture initiatives.
Assist the Estimating department in bidding opportunities and Preconstruction Services by performing constructability reviews and providing input.
Ensure concrete, civil, mechanical reviews and logistics plans are done for project.
Lead and monitor work planning process with self-perform and trade partner activities.
Coordinate with the Project Manager in development of cost-related reports and budgets during preconstruction.
Develop CPM Construction Schedule focusing on self-performed work and schedule alignment with subs.
Develop Site Logistics Plan and manage approvals and implementation.
