Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. in Colorado seeks aProcess Mechanical Superintendent to lead field execution of complex process mechanical work on large water and industrial projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

You will plan and manage multiple self-perform crews, supervise subcontractors, review drawings, coordinate with owners and inspectors, and ensure work is installed correctly the first time while maintaining schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in highly complex water or industrial construction projects.
• Process mechanical experience required.
• Self-perform experience is strongly desired.
• Geographically mobile and able to relocate within a region is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of project-specific safety and accident prevention programs and maintain safe work areas through regular job-site inspections
• Lead McCarthy’s Task Hazard Analysis (THA) process and implement all safety and EEO/Affirmative Action programs
• Maintain thorough understanding of project schedule and budget, enforcing plans and motivating employees to follow through
• Assist project superintendent in locating/onboarding manpower, developing/implementing project plans and maintaining current contract documents
• Schedule and manage multiple crews performing various tasks across the project site
• Allocate resources, plan activities, review work and manage consumables/equipment, including compiling a comprehensive bill of materials and coordinating deliveries
• Comprehend contract drawings/specifications and communicate with owners, inspectors and other trades
• Create isometric drawings and assist project engineers in the shop drawing/submittal process
