Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical seeks an Electrical Superintendent for a Data Center project in Texas. You will lead electrical construction, supervise crews, and ensure safety, schedule adherence, and cost control on a multi-million dollar program.

Responsibilities include understanding designs and specs, coordinating with PMs on buyouts and labor, and mentoring field supervision while maintaining quality. A journeyman license or engineering degree and OSHA-30 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State Electrical Journeyman License or 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or licensed journeyman experience.
• 10+ years experience in electrical construction supervision, technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
• Experience with data center environments and large electrical projects up to $100M.
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain.
• Strong scheduling, cost control, and leadership for large teams.

• Plan, supervise, and direct the personnel involved in the installation of electrical systems in order to ensure the work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Maintain a culture of safety and quality first.
• Have a complete understanding of the project design, drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Work in conjunction with the Project Management Team on material and equipment buyouts, schedules, labor, and tracking.
• Monitors quality of workmanship on the project and ensures compliance with the project and company standards.
• Evaluates, mentors, and trains field supervision and tradesmen.
• Performs takeoffs and pricing for change orders and project related work.
• Evaluates productivity and schedules and makes the adjustments required to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Current State Electrical Journeyman License or 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or licensed journeyman experience.
• 10+ years experience in electrical construction supervision, technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
• Experience working with technical industrial, Pharmaceutical, or Data Center environments.
• Experience with $20M-$100M electrical projects preferred.
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain
• Understanding of construction and labor scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise large groups.
• Ability to perform takeoffs and pricing for changes orders and related project work.
• Excellent computer, communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check.
