Roy Anderson Corp., a Tutor Perini company, seeks a General Superintendent for our Oxford, MS project. This senior on-site leadership role partners with the Project Manager to direct all field operations, manage safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and supervise both company forces and subcontractors.

You will review subcontractor scopes, support buyout, ensure profitability, and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 20 years of experience as a Superintendent.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

DESCRIPTION

A General Superintendent’s primary responsibility is the main contact in the field, working in concert with the Project Manager to schedule, plan and direct all field operations to include management of all work by the company’s own forces and that of the subcontractors.Has full responsibility for initiating and implementing all pertinent safety and quality control policies and procedures. Supervise complex large volume projects.Additional responsibilities include review of subcontractor scopes, participation in buyout, adherence to budget and to ensure the construction process and building are completed to the client’s full satisfaction and at the company’s levels of profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides overall leadership and direction for all field operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and trade coordination. This individual is responsible for the successful execution of the project from mobilization through turnover.
• Communicates and coordinates with all stakeholders associated with the project, i.e., Ownership, Architects, Engineers, AHJ, etc.
• Support the preconstruction department in project planning and buyout.
• Manages & monitors construction activity to maintain compliance with contract specs and company quality & safety standards.
• Forecast required field personnel and assign duties as needed.
• Prepares, reviews and initials Daily Construction Reports.
• Reviews and updates the project schedule with internal company scheduler.
• Reviews & verified weekly quantities.
• Coordinates special inspections as required.
• Fluent in final inspections, commissioning processes, and turnover.
• Demonstrates full & current knowledge of all OSHA Safety requirements & maintains compliance with these requirements on the job site at all times.
• Communicates job status to Project Manager and other management team members on a regular basis.
• Build agendas and lead subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Assist the project team with submittal reviews, RFI’s, change order costs, etc. as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 20 years of experience as a Superintendent.
• Comprehensive understanding of project scheduling and logistics planning.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of construction, craft activities, cost control schedules & safety.
• Ability to prioritize work to accommodate deadlines with minimum supervision.
• Proficiency and working experience with MS Office.
• Basic knowledge of Procore software desired.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
