Job Scope
- Deliver Construction Projects on Time and on Budget
- Plan, Schedule, and Direct Construction Projects according to project documents
- Provide leadership and make informed decisions
- Coordinate sequence and operations from the structural shell to MEP trades
- Collaborate with on-site superintendents, project engineers, and administrative staff
- Execute site meetings effectively
- Maintain the overall safety plan
- Oversee and execute the project schedule
- Maintain relationships with design professionals and trade partners
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all trades onsite, overseeing project aspects including budget considerations
- Communicate daily with team superintendents to ensure coordinated work
- Enforce project schedule and sequence with trades
- Identify project requirements and oversee all field construction processes
- Verify drawing measurements, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain reports as per company standards
- Document issues related to quality, safety, schedule, and conformance, collaborating with the onsite team
- Verify drawing accuracy and document deviations in writing
- Manage trade scopes of work and maintain site safety and cleanliness
- Hold weekly subcontractor meetings and participate in OAC meetings
- Oversee RFIs and submittals, ensuring review of latest plans by all trades
- Assist management with reporting and meetings
- Ensure personnel safety compliance, with OSHA 30 training
- Oversee project closeout, including permits, punch lists, and owner acceptance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent experience; 10-15 years in multi-family new construction projects valued between $15M-$150M
- Experience from land clearing to project turnover
- Proven supervisory experience as a field superintendent
- Strong communication skills, preferably bilingual in English and Spanish
- Financial analysis skills and impact awareness on project budgets
- Collaborative team player, well-organized
- Knowledge of cast-in-place construction styles and civil sitework including utilities, earthwork, paving, MOT, dewatering
- Familiarity with site logistics, building, inspection procedures, and Florida building codes
