Job summary

MarinoWARE is looking for dedicated individuals to join their team in South Plainfield, NJ. This full-time position involves assisting in the production and packaging processes, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires lifting, use of measuring devices, and performing maintenance tasks on the shop floor. Starting pay is $19 per hour, and candidates should be eligible to work in the U.S. The company offers a range of benefits including medical and dental insurance, 401(k), and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Must frequently lift or move 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.

• Assist in fitting and packaging work pieces from machines.
• Perform dimensional verification of finished products using measuring devices.
• Help line operator with production and material utilization record keeping.
• Load, transport stocks and work in process by hand or truck.
• Maintain cleanliness in the shop area and manage scrap materials.

Responsibilities

• Lifts, positions, and removes work pieces from machines to assist in fitting and packaging
• Holds tape measuring and other measuring devices to perform dimensional verification of finished products
• Assist line operator in record keeping of production and material utilization
• Loads, stacks, transports stocks and work in process by hand or truck
• Cleans up and trims metal preparatory to manufacturing, packaging or shipping
• Picks up, stacks and straps scrap from work area
• Perform general shop floor clean up and maintenance
• Performs other routine duties
• Observes safety and Standard Operating Procedures
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses equipment and materials properly

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• The employee must frequently lift or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts such as conveyors rolls and power industrial trucks also known as Forklifts.
• Works around manufacturing equipment such as roll forming lines, automated packaging systems, wood saws and forklift traffic.

Starting rate is $19.00 per hour. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.

Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
