We have an immediate opening for a General Service/Tire Technician for our [City, ST] store!

The General Service/Tire Technician is responsible for conducting non-technical automotive service repairs such as oil changes, tire and wheel related services, light vehicle maintenance as well as driving customers, picking up parts, and maintaining the cleanliness of the shop as needed.

Compensation

$13.00/Hr. - $16.00/Hr.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services.
• Utilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to properly document the vehicle condition.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and outside the building.
• Drives vehicles safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws.
• Transport customers, pick up parts, supplies, tires, etc., from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (if applicable) following all guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Works flexible schedules, including weekends as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to company core values, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Understanding of automotive mechanics preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, lubricants, and hazardous materials. Temperature varies; PPE may be required. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 70 pounds, and good vision. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
