Job Description

Overview

Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filters; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate, and balance tires; check and fill fluids; replace filters and lights
• Unload tires, merchandise, and supplies from trucks and deliveries
• Inspect disposed tires and store or dispose of them properly
• Clean facilities, tools, equipment, and stock shelves
• Provide courteous customer service, explain benefits of services and products, and promote sales
• Perform sales duties including pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, and stocking
• Maintain store appearance according to standards
• Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
• Complete required training promptly
• Follow work schedule and clocking procedures accurately
• Report maintenance or issues to supervisor
• Assist in training new employees as needed
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum age of 17 (with parental consent)
• Ability to learn technical concepts and operate office machinery
• Safe operation of automatic and manual vehicles
• Effective communication with customers
• Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor conditions
• Compliance with PPE regulations
• Good vision, hearing, speech, and olfactory senses
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and move safely
• Availability for holidays, weekends, and after hours
• Proficiency in English
• Successful pre-employment screening and legal work authorization

Note: For Missouri stores, ability to obtain a Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months.
