Job summary

Pep Boys / Mavis Tire is seeking General Service Technicians in the Germantown, MD area to join Team Mavis at automotive service centers. We offer competitive weekly pay, paid training, and opportunities for career growth in a large, nationwide network with over 4,000 locations.

As a General Service Technician, you will perform tire services, maintenance, oil changes, and inspections while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service.
• Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
• Performing flat tire repairs.
• Completing oil and filter changes.
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids.
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Following established safety and service procedures.
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles.
