Job Description for General Service Technician

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

DEPARTMENT: Service

POSITION SUMMARY: The General Service Technician performs basic preventative functions such as oil changes and evaluating tire pressure. This position also makes recommendations to the Service Manager for any needed parts, tires, or services that customers may require.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides helpful, friendly, and respectful customer service with a 'We Can Do That' attitude.
• Changes oil and/or transmission fluid and filters.
• Evaluates tire pressure and ensures proper inflation.
• Recommends tires, parts, and services to the Service Manager for customers.
• Can change tires on passenger and light truck vehicles.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Has a great attitude and wants to grow with our company.

Secondary Job Functions:

• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• ASE Certifications and/or a technical school degree are preferred but not required.

Compensation: $17-$20 hourly wage.
